Mobile and communication
In the end of 2011, four mobile operators are providing mobile communications services in Mongolian Information and Communication Sector. Mobile network covers 95% of the population and reaches 350 soum center and all provinces. In 2011, 3G technology and 3G services introduced in 23 aimag centers (provinces), Ulaanbaatar city and other big cities.
Mobile telephone density per 100 people has grown from 9.2 in 2002 to 103.8 in 2011. Figure-1 shows the comparison of key data between world average and Mongolian fixed and mobile subscribers per 100 persons.

There are 2.9 million mobile subscribers in Mongolia. Annual growth of mobile subscribers are given in Figure-2.

Market shares of mobile operators are given in terms of subscribers are given in Figure. The market shares of Mobicom LLC, Skytel LLC, Unitel LLC and G-Mobile LLC are 42.9%, 19.7%, 21.2% and 16.2% respectively.

Internet services
There were 85 Internet service providers in the market at the end of 2011. Internet service providers connect with key ISPs via fiber-optics networks; these are connected to Russia and China, and are operated by the Railcom Center, Gemnet Company and MobiCom Corporation. Total number of internent subscribers 2007-2011 is shown in Figure-4.

Postal services
In the Mongolian postal service market, there are currently more than 66 licensed postal operators. There is one state-owned company (designated operator) – Mongol Post LLC – and 65 other private companies.
Data concerning competitive services in the postal market, like market share of domestic postal service (parcel, post letter, small parcel) and International express postal services, are compared in Figures 5 & 6.

CaTV services
There were 82 CATV license holders registered with the CRC in 2011. As a result of enabling rural citizens to watch National TV programmes and CATV, the total number of rural subscribers has rapidly increased in recent years. Figures 7 shows the Number of CATV subscribers and types in 2011.

In Figure-8, indicates the percentage of TV broadcasting technology. As of 2011, subscribers receive digital broadcasting technology 52.6%, analogy 47.4%.

ICT and postal sector investment
While sector investment was 89.9 billion tugrugs in 2010, it has reached about 107.7 billion tugrugs in 2011.

As the end of 2011, total revenue ICT sector has reached to approximately 538.9 billion MNT.
Human resources
There were more than 7,650 employees working in the Mongolian ICT, telecommunications and postal sectors at the end of 2011 (Figure-10).
